Louisiana Presenters Network |
|
Who We Are
The Louisiana Presenters Network (LPN) is now a part of the Louisiana Partnership for the Arts which is also the affiliate for KCAAEN, Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network. The LPN will serve as the service arm to the artists and presenters and will offer technical assistance to them.
The Louisiana Presenters Network is a service organization established to support presenters, artists and artist management in their efforts to provide the finest and most diverse artistic, cultural and educational performing arts experiences to the people of Louisiana. The LPN consists of large and small organizations whose primary purpose is presenting performing arts, as well as large and small organizations for whom performing arts presentations are an adjunct activity furthering their missions. LPN activities range from full-scale main stage performances to small workshops, classes and other activities in an intimate setting.
Meetings
The LPN meets periodically in different areas of the state or at arts conferences attended by LPN members. |

Statewide Calendar of Events |
|
The LPN hosts a statewide calendar of Louisiana presente'sr events. Presenter members may select two events per month to list on the statewide calendar, based on likely appeal to a statewide audience. |

2012 State-wide "Block Booking" Session |
|
A short “Booking Session” was conducted via Conference Call on April 11. There were 11 people who participated, and some wonderful artists are being booked for Louisiana in 2012-13. There is a planned Louisiana Presenters Network (LPN) Meeting planned for Tuesday, May 15, at 10 AM, at the Baton Rouge Welcome Center; this will conclude at 2 PM. There will be a short Booking Session Finalization, two Affinity Sessions: Simple contracts with artists and Foreign Contracts; a tutorial for entering your organizations events onto the LPN site Calendar will also be a feature of the meeting and there will be a time of discussion for future plans for the LPN. I trust many of you can attend. The meeting is being provided by South Arts, the LDOA and LPA.
If you plan to attend the LPN meeting and plan to stay-over in Baton Rouge to be a part of the Arts in the Capitol Day on May 16; there is an opportunity to have LPN provide part of your hotel for the night of May 15.
