Louisiana Presenters Network |
|
Who We Are
The Louisiana Presenters Network (LPN) is now a part of the Louisiana Partnership for the Arts which is also the affiliate for KCAAEN, Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network. The LPN will serve as the service arm to the artists and presenters and will offer technical assistance to them.
The Louisiana Presenters Network is a service organization established to support presenters, artists and artist management in their efforts to provide the finest and most diverse artistic, cultural and educational performing arts experiences to the people of Louisiana. The LPN consists of large and small organizations whose primary purpose is presenting performing arts, as well as large and small organizations for whom performing arts presentations are an adjunct activity furthering their missions. LPN activities range from full-scale main stage performances to small workshops, classes and other activities in an intimate setting.
Meetings
The LPN meets periodically in different areas of the state or at arts conferences attended by LPN members. |

2012 State-wide "Block Booking" Session |
|
There is a planned State-wide "Booking Session," for Febuary 16th so that Louisiana Presenters Network can assist presenters in bringing artists from Louisiana, the nation and around the world through providing multiple dates which allow for the reduction in artist fees. The session will be held at the Baton Rouge capitol welcome center from 10am to 3pm. LPN is also looking into ways to assist in a small way to help with covering some of the travel costs to come to the session in Baton Rouge. The farther away you live, the greater the assistance.
Many of our wonderful Louisiana artists were showcased during the Performing Arts Exchange (PAE) that was held in Baton Rouge this past fall. Because 2012 will celebrate Louisiana's 200th Birthday, many of our presenters are presenting Louisiana artists.
