LPN Coordinator Naomi Cordill's report of January's statewide meetings

LPN was part of a whirlwind state tour that took place January 19 to 22 with Nikki Estes from the Southern Arts Federation and Kelly Pepper with the Louisiana Division of the Arts. Information about granting sources and services provided by each organization was the focus.

It is always a wonderful experience to meet new people, visit those with whom we are already acquainted--and the networking at these type gatherings is always amazing.

I, as Coordinator for LPN, want to thank all of those Arts Council Directors and those CDC's who made our visits possible.

Also on January 27, I was the Guest Speaker -with the subject being LPN and SAF-- for the Arts and Humanities Council of Southwest Louisiana in Lake Charles. It is always surprising how difficult it is for organizations to recognize that they are "presenters." But the meeting was a great exposure for both LPN and the SAF--thanks to Irene Vanderver and Jackie Dowden for making this connect possible.
